Rinse the brown rice under cold running water using a fine-mesh sieve to remove excess starch.
Add the rinsed brown rice, cold water, salt, and olive oil (optional) to the Instant Pot inner pot and stir to combine.
Secure the lid, set the sealing ring and vent to "Sealing," then select Pressure Cook (Manual) on High Pressure for 22 minutes.
Allow a natural pressure release for 10–15 minutes. Afterward, carefully switch the vent to "Venting" to release any remaining pressure.
Open the lid and fluff the rice gently with a fork. Serve immediately or use as a base for bowls and stir-fries.
