Fill a rocks glass or highball glass generously with ice cubes.
Pour 1.5 fluid ounces of Campari into the glass, then add 1.5 fluid ounces of sweet vermouth.
Top off with 3–4 fluid ounces of chilled club soda or sparkling water.
Gently stir once to combine ingredients without losing fizz.
Garnish with an orange slice on the rim or dropped into the drink.
