Instructions

Melt the dark chocolate with the butter in a double boiler and let it cool slightly.

In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and frothy.

Add the melted chocolate to the egg and sugar mixture and mix well.

Sift the flour with the baking powder and add them to the batter along with a pinch of salt. Gently mix until you get a smooth batter.

Pour the batter into a buttered cake pan.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 30 minutes.

Let the cake cool, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
