Wash and hull the strawberries, halving them if you like.
If you like, rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip in coarse salt or sugar to coat.
In a blender, combine the hulled strawberries with the tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur and simple syrup.
Fill the blender with ice cubes, secure the lid and blend on high until smooth and slushy.
Pour the mixture into the prepared glasses and garnish with lime wedges or extra strawberries.
Serve straight away.
