Put a medium bowl on your worktop.
Add 4 tablespoons of kosher salt to the bowl.
Add 2 tablespoons of smoked paprika (or plain paprika) to the bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1 tablespoon of onion powder and 1 tablespoon of freshly ground black pepper.
Add 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon of dried oregano and 1 teaspoon of dried thyme.
Whisk the spices until they're thoroughly combined and no lumps remain.
Transfer the seasoning blend to an airtight jar or spice shaker.
Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
