Ingredients

Potatoes1000 g
Cooked ham100 g
Mozzarella150 g
Grated Parmigiano Reggiano50 g
Eggs2 pcs
Milk50 ml
Butter30 g
Breadcrumbs50 g
Salt

Instructions

Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, then drain and mash them in a large bowl.

Add the butter, milk, eggs, grated Parmigiano Reggiano, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes and mix well until you get a smooth mixture.

Butter a baking dish and sprinkle the bottom with some breadcrumbs.

Spread half of the potato mixture in the dish, smoothing it out.

Add the diced cooked ham and cubed mozzarella over the potato layer.

Cover with the remaining potato mixture, leveling the surface.

Sprinkle the remaining breadcrumbs on top and add a few small knobs of butter.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 30 minutes, until the surface is golden.

Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
