Instructions

Clean and trim the artichokes, then slice them thinly and place them in a bowl with lemon juice to prevent browning.

Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a large frying pan and add the crushed garlic cloves. Let them sauté for a minute.

Add the artichokes to the pan and stir well.

Pour in the water, add salt and black pepper to taste.

Cover the pan and cook over low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

At the end of cooking, add the chopped fresh parsley and mix.

Serve the pan-fried artichokes hot, perhaps accompanied by rustic bread.
