Ingredients

Green Lentils200 g
Noodles50 g
Onion1 medium
Tomato Paste1 tbsp
Olive Oil2 tbsp
Salt1 tsp
Black Pepper0.5 tsp
Red Pepper Flakes0.5 tsp
Water1500 ml

Instructions

Wash the green lentils and boil them in a pot with enough water to cover them. Drain the water.

Finely chop the onion.

Heat the olive oil in a pot, add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden.

Add the tomato paste and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

Add the boiled green lentils and 1.5 litres of water to the pot.

Once it starts boiling, add the noodles.

Add salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Cook over medium heat until the noodles are soft.

Serve hot. It goes wonderfully with a slice of bread on the side.
