Toast the waffles: place 4 frozen waffles in a toaster on a medium setting and toast for 2–3 minutes, until they are golden and crisp. Alternatively, preheat the oven to 190°C (170°C fan/gas mark 5) and bake the waffles on the middle shelf for about 5 minutes.
Place the hot waffles on a plate and spread 30g unsalted butter over them, allowing it to melt.
Drizzle 120ml pure maple syrup evenly over the waffles.
Top with 150g fresh mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries and raspberries).
If you like, add a dollop of whipped double cream to the centre of the waffle stack.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
