Fresh fava beans500 g
Onion1 large
Garlic2 cloves
Carrot1 medium
Olive oil3 tbsp
Granulated sugar1 tsp
Salt1 tsp
Lemon juice0.5 unit
Hot water240 ml
Dill1 handful

Instructions

Chop the onion into pieces suitable for cooking and place it in a pot with olive oil.

Finely chop the garlic and add it to the onion, sautéing them together.

Slice the carrot into rounds and add to the pot.

Clean and wash the fava beans, chop them, and add to the pot.

Add salt, granulated sugar, and lemon juice, stir and sauté for a few minutes.

Add hot water, cover the pot, and cook on low heat until the fava beans are tender (about 30 minutes).

Remove the cooked dish from the heat and sprinkle generously with dill.

Serve warm or cold, accompanied by a slice of bread.
