Green lentils200 g
Bulgur wheat (coarse) for pilaf225 g
Onion1 medium
Olive oil2 tbsp
Tomato paste1 tbsp
Hot water720 ml
Salt1 tsp
Black pepper0.5 tsp
Instructions

Wash the green lentils and boil them in a pot with enough water to cover. Drain and set aside.

Finely chop the onion.

Heat the olive oil in a pot and sauté the onion until it turns golden.

Add the tomato paste and cook for a few more minutes.

Add the bulgur and boiled green lentils, stir and sauté for a few minutes.

Add the hot water, season with salt and black pepper.

Cook on low heat until the water is absorbed.

After the pilaf has rested, stir and serve. You can serve it with yogurt on the side.
