Apricots1 kg
Granulated Sugar800 g
Lemon Juice1 tablespoon

Instructions

Wash the apricots thoroughly and remove the pits.

Place the apricots in a large pot.

Sprinkle the granulated sugar over them, cover the pot, and leave it in the refrigerator overnight.

The next day, add the water and lemon juice to the pot.

Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the apricots soften and the jam reaches the desired consistency.

Remove the jam from the heat and fill sterilised jars while still hot.

Seal the jars tightly and turn them upside down to cool.

Store the cooled jam in a cool, dark place. Serve spread on bread at breakfast.
